My quest to be a Stay at home Dad!!

Alright so it's been a while since I last blogged. I feel like I should be updating more often even though I may have nothing to say which is odd coming from me if you've ever had the privilege of knowing me personally.

I'll start off with what I have been doing lately. Well as odd as it may seem being as busy as I have been, I haven't done a whole lot. I am trying to figure out ways to not have to go back to work in October. My wife wants me to stay home and help with the kids while she works on her career. I am all for it but we'll still need some income coming from me in order to make that work. I don't want to just do anything...I want to do something that I like.

While I like my current job that I will have to go back to in October, I am just looking for something to supplement me so I can I stay home and help out with the kids!

Now lets break down the things I like:

MMA - Well lets see I don't think I'll be entering the cage any time soon or will be starting a fighting organization that make money either. FAIL!

Football - Now I play Touch Football and have for over 10 years now. I have won league MVP's and Championships. I have limited experience with Tackle Football...Oh and did I mention I am 34...no money to be had there. FAIL!

Hockey - I love to watch Hockey especially the playoffs (Can't play it for shit) but somehow I don't think there will be anyone willing to pay me to look pretty and watch Hockey all the time...would you? FAIL!

Beer - While there are some idea's here...none of them will garner the kind of money I am looking for. Brew my own? Will people buy? Probably not. Now if someone could pay me to drink Beer then I'm your man...not happening anytime soon. FAIL!

Movies - I love to watch movies...could I be a critic? Does "That was cool" or "That sucked" count as being a critic? I think not. I am a worthless actor and and even worse director...have you seen my home videos? FAIL!

Music - I love listening to music...there is no way that this will make me money. I cannot play a single instrument well...would love to learn the drums but that will take me a long time and unlikely will lead to anything. FAIL!

Family - While at times I have thought about selling my children to Gypsies and my Wife to the highest bidder, I can't because I truly do love them too deeply. FAIL!

Poker - Now we're talking...I can go out there and win tons of money playing poker...no problem. Everyone on TV has done it why can't I? Well because I don't have the financial backing or the time to play all hours of the day everyday. While the small stakes I have played over the past few years have won me a couple thousand dollars, it is hardly an income. FAIL!

Friends - Do any of you want to give me money and lots of it? Didn't think so. FAIL!!!

Video Games - Now this is one of my favorite things to do. and as most of you know I have played games most of my life and I am very good at them...just ask all my Street Fighter victims. While I can dominate my local arcade (or at least used to) I don't have the reflexes, time or commitment I used to at my age. I am looking into organizing leagues and tourneys but that will not make me any money as it is just for fun. While I have some original idea's for games it's not likely to happen. FAIL!

Looks like there are no opening's in my "Field of expertise." I'll continue to push and search and find something that fits my criteria. Wish me luck and if you see any openings for a beer drinking, has been Video Game and Touch Football playing, Hockey and MMA fan let me know!!

Hello and welcome to my Blog,

I intend for this Blog to be about many different things but one thing I want to be sure of, is that it is interesting and entertaining.

I have several passions and interests which will all be discussed in this very Blog. I love Astronomy, Video Games, Mixed Martial Arts, Movies, Music, Football, Beer, Hockey and my Family just to name a few. I will be blogging about these and my thoughts on current events and not so current events. I love the idea of sharing some of my thoughts with all of you and whether you agree or not is perfectly fine with me. If we all agreed on everything this would be a pretty boring place to live.

I also would like to share some of my idea's with you all and hope that maybe you can help me out with some of them or offer me suggestions or other idea's. I have allot of exciting things going on in my life right now and I am at a point where I can share my experiences with you and hopefully share a laugh or two with you. I do not take myself very seriously and like to be off the cuff at times. I know this Blog won't be for everyone but I hope you enjoy it for what it is.

I will be updating my Blog on a regular basis so follow me and join me as I explain the insanity that is my life and my mind to you all. It should be a fun ride so hop on into the bandwagon!!
